ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION:

In order to revive and retrieve the fading culture of Odisha putting emphasis on performing arts and visual arts attributed to Folklore of the country life, a group of young person’s having energetic voluntary spirit came forward under the Banner of a democratic and non-profit making Body, named “SOPUTRA” and registered under Society Registration Act 1860.

In due course of time the spirit of activism was extended to serve the rural poor not only in the field of culture and Arts, but also in undertaking numerous welfare and developmental activities in the field of disability welfare, Health, Older care programme, Drug de-addiction. Animal welfare, Promotion of SHGs, education, Women & Child development, Environment promotion, Disaster management, Integrated Agriculture development and the like, amidst numerous challenges.

Over the years – a variety of activities (including the above) has also been taken up keeping in the need of the area & people i.e. stakeholders

SOPUTRA family constitutes both General Body & Executive Body members who look after activities under different programmes. The General Body consists of all its members, which meet once in a year.  The Executive Body consists of seven members.

The Executive Body meets two times in a year. However, if situation demands, it can meet more than the usual time. The General Body is final decision making authority and the executive body is responsible to plan out various strategies befitting to organizational goal & overall performance-based development. A formal idea about the administrative structure and functional management strategy of the organization can be best understood, having a grasp of aspects underlined below in Organogram.
